Anyone way too familiar with fonts for their own good?

I am having a hell of a time figuring out what this font is:

Look at the lower case "a" in Patience and in Iolanthe

look at the "b" and "d" of your sample. A type face would have the base of the b coming below the baseline just as the d does.

7. There are some fonts that do that

Though of course I can't name a single one off the top of my head. I saw one just the other day and found it vaguely annoying yet quaint. It's a real throwback to days gone by.

9. It's Black Chancery

"A shareware or freeware typeface," according to Thomas Finney of Adobe Systems.

I'm embarassed that I didn't recognize it.
