33% improvement in gas mileage can only be a good thing. Not incredibly good, but significant.

FWD Escape Hybrid = 30 MPG highway, BUT 35 MPG city.
It matters. Plus, the Duratec 4-banger is a SULEV/PZEV engine, anyway.
Oh, yeah, somebody said something about a Chevy. Yeah, I dunno why you'd wanna buy that piece of shit. ;)
