4. not really
If you smoke the equivalent of a fat bowl and hold your tokes as long as you can, the high lasts MAYBE...5 minutes?

We recorded ourselves the first time we smoked it. We just watched the videos a few weeks ago and were ASTOUNDED at how quick we got high, then came down.

It makes you feel funky afterwards as well, like your head isn't right.

I equate it, and have heard others who equate it with the "Trip" you get from sniffing glue or hairspray or other things like that.

Not pleasurable at all, imo

2. Crap, imo
Hubby and I bought some a few years ago out of the back of High Times. Should have trusted that "gut feeling" you get when you're buying an ounce of "Marijuana Alternative" for $5.

So we get it, and we smoked it in a bowl (not a joint).

1) I would not reccomend smoking it alone. Make sure you're with someone you'd trust to be around if you were on LSD. THis is not a good "drug" if you have anxiety or paranoia issues

2) The high is very intense, and very short. Almost like tripping (the room was kind of dark and I was way into the shadows on the wall). Most it ever lasted was 5 minutes or less

3) There is an odd "come down" after the buzz wears off. It made me grumpy. It made my husband paranoid. And not just for 10 minutes. We're talking at least 30-45 minutes after we each smoked one bowl.

I suppose if you're hard up for smoke, or into cheap highs, this may be for you. I equate the "buzz" you get off of this to the "buzz" you get if you huff paint or glue--that intense and short-acting out of control feeling.

I tried smoking a bowl once by myself---and I'm an LSD pro, if I may say so myself, and have taken LSD alone many times and not ever had a bad expeirience. Sativa alone was bad. Bad bad.

We smoked a total of 4 bowls out of that bag, then gave it to my mom, who tried it once and flushed it.

3. Having read some trip reports...
You can find some at http://www.erowid.org/ ...I don't believe I'll ever try it. It's not for the faint of heart, nor the depressed or mentally ill. (Not suggesting you are any of those, but I'd think twice anyway.) It certainly doesn't sound like an enjoyable trip. I'd be much more interested in Ayahuasca.

5. It was a scary trip for us
After he came down, my husband sat there and got really antsy immediately afterwards (he's not an antsy person naturally). he kept asking me why I was staring at him, and I was like "Dude, I'm not staring at you. We're talking. I'm looking at you" and eventually jumped up on the couch and started screaming "STOP STARING AT ME!" at the top of his lungs. About 10 minutes after that, he wasn't even aware of the situation.

Me, after I came down I became incredibly crabby, which is not my nature as well. I can't describe it other than saying I was in THE worst mood I've ever been in in my life, and for no reason, and I realized it, and there was nothing I could do about it. About 10 minutes after that, the bad mood passed and I was normal.

Then again, one should be warry of any "marijuana alternative" that costs $5 an ounce, I suppose....

SALVIA DIVINORUM BASICS
Salvia divinorum is a species of sage (the genus Salvia). There are approximately 1000 species of Salvia worldwide, but Salvia divinorum is the only vision-inducing species known. Salvia is a member of a very large family of plants known as the Labiatae. Because mint is a well-known member of this family, it is sometimes referred to as the mint family. Salvia divinorum makes a beautiful house plant, and it can be grown just for that reason, but most people who grow this plant are interested in its fascinating psychoactive effects.

The botanical name Salvia divinorum means "Sage of the Diviners." Under the right conditions, taken in the right way, Salvia produces a unique state of "divine inebriation." For hundreds of years, it has been used in religious and healing ceremonies by the Mazatec Indians, who live in the province of Oaxaca, in Mexico.

11. I know nothing about it; but
it seems like that particular page might have some good advice.

You might want to research a little more. Or maybe you should seek out a shaman or someone experienced in using this to alter their consciousness.

Be careful.
