Presses that are so old, they've got "Made in Occupied Germany" on the data plate. One setup on the folder and the collator for all 37,000 titles he puts out. He uses a 10,000-impression press run, which is optimal for offset printing. If you count the payment to the artist--Jack is in this business because he's not good enough of an illustrator to work for a comic book company, so he's had a real artist drawing for him for many years--he's probably got eight cents per copy in each one of his books.

For this, you pay him a quarter. I wish I had the guts to put an over-200-percent initial markup on anything I sold.
