The last new TV I bought was from PACEX while I was in Viet Nam. In the late 80s we did away with TVs altogether and spent 15 blissful years without the "thief of time." When we bought the mountain house in 2003, it came with 5 TVs. I hauled two of those big-clunker TVs down here to the "new" house in Greenville. Neither would fit under the kitchen cabinets, and that's the prime place I watch the evening line-up (Hardball, Local & National, Comedy Central, and Countdown).
So I went out this afternoon and bought a new Sharp Aquos 15" flat screen for the kitchen. It is great! Circuit City was out of the 15" version, but HH Gregg had it in stock. None of the small locals had the model I wanted. When got out Woodruff Road, near HH Gregg, I saw a Best Buys. I knew HH Gregg's price, so I decided to stop in Bust Buys for a look-see. Good move! Their price was slightly lower plus Best Buys had a $50 instant-rebate. I watched Tweety and Kieth on a high resolution digital TV tonight, sitting in my new house's old kitchen sipping Shiraz.
