Cowher: Steelers lost composure against Bengals| Yahoo Sports
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher often talks about walking a fine line, usually to describe the tiny differences that separate winning from losing. This time, he is concerned his team might have stepped over that imaginary line during a taunting-filled playoff victory Sunday in Cincinnati.

Uh oh, looks like someone is about to let the cat out of the bag.

1. Born and raised in Cincinnati...I LOATHE the Shittsburgh Steelers.
and Bill Cowher's parents should have invested in some serious orthodontia years ago.
Do I sound bitter? 'Cause I sure am!

2. I forget...Who won that game again???

I'm sick of this. Even if it was an intentional hit in the knees - guess what? it was still a good play. To take the starting QB out in the first 5 minutes of the game is pure genius - and regardless of what anyone tells you - the steelers were happy to see him go down.
We are talking about millions and millions of $$$'s riding on these games. Players get bonuses, coaches get bonuses - everybody wins when your team advances in the play-offs.
So they took the QB out with a dirty hit - who's going to remember that? All people will remember is who won and who lost.

6. It was not an intentional hit in the knees.
Every report I see says KVO was blocked into CP. Watch the film, both of the play and of KVO's immediate reaction, and neutral parties will agree.

8.  Oh, I agree 100% - just sick of the whiners about that play...

I'm just saying - EVEN if it was intentional - it was a good play. They took a Pro Bowl QB out in the first series. Regardless of what people MUST say about the play (politcally correct "it was an accident, no intention, etc, etc), every head coach, every player who has ever played sports at a very high level will tell you - it was a good play, and they would do it again.

4. Ya know....I spent a good portion of the 90's defending the Bengals,
once even resulting in a visit to the E.R. after they lost here to the Arizona Cardinals, so I'm pretty sick of it.
However, the STEELERS STILL SUCK...ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL!!!

10. Right...
obviously a franchise with four Super Bowl titles must be total crap.
How many have the Bengals won?

11. Remind me....what century were those titles won in?
20th? or was it 19th?

Talk about clinging to past glory. No doubt the Steelers of the 70's were a dynasty, but for Christ's sake, what have they done for the last 25 years?

"STEELERS STILL SUCK...ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL!!!"
"Always have": Incorrect statement, as most blanket statements are.
In the past 15 years they have remained a dominant force in their division while the Bengals posted 13 non-winning seasons. Granted, they haven't won any Super Bowls since the 70's but they have made it to one, are consistent playoff entry, and there are about 20 other franchises that would love to have the winning records the Steelers possess.
As far as clinging to past glory goes, I would venture to say that it's better to have past glory, than none at all.

I remember in 2002 he said the only reason the Pats beat him was because of one special teams play.

Last I knew, special teams were part of the game.
