Jackson faces new child molestation charges

Dan Glaister in Los Angeles
Wednesday January 11, 2006
The Guardian

Michael Jackson is facing new charges of child molestation following allegations from a 20-year-old that the singer assaulted him, forced him to have plastic surgery and stole his musical ideas.

"It is alleged that my client was present at Michael Jackson's residences and other places from the age of two to 14 and was molested many times over the course of those years," said Michael Mattern, a lawyer for the man.

"There is also an allegation that my client came up with song ideas, lyrics and melodies which were used by Mr Jackson in his records and made an awful lot of money."

The civil lawsuit was filed in a southern California court last July but resubmitted in October. The case is due to be heard in Orange County next month, according to the lawyer.
The allegations relate to a period from 1987 to 1999, before the allegations that were the subject of last year's trial.

12. Isn't that why Jackson now has "residence" in foreign country, right?
The TRUE "reality" in any dysfunctional environment...whether in a Celebrity's life, OR a world leader...eventually comes to light. Which is what "intervention" programs are designed for.

Unfortuantely (among the powerful) those most needing it, manage to avoid it by "enablers" around them. Jackson family is a prime example...

7.  His vet is also suing him for unpaid fees. $90,000 reported in UK
last week.
That zoo of his gone straight down the pan.

The story reads like a fabrication.

11. Jackson last reported staying in Manama, Bahrain. Guest of
Crown Prince of Bahrain, an old chum.

Some reports say he is going the Cassius Clay route and taking instruction on converting to Islam.

13. Usually I would agree; but if Jackson paid for such surgery on
a child, I'd begin to think there might be something behind the charges.
Now if it had been plastic surgery to repair a club foot or some serious physical defect, I would tend to take a charitable view. But surgery to pretty-up a child? This smells of something more than bullshit to me.

15. Guess we'll never know until the Feds can convince a judge to
allow a warrant to dig up every square inch of Neverland and put it through a DNA forensic tester.

16. I think it's the part about stealing music ideas that I find suspect.

Just putting it all together seems very opportunistic.

19. I agree. But if Jackson did pay to have the boy prettied up, I would
think that a good indication molestation was taking place. Could the young man now be trying to make a profit over his relationship and exaggerating their "creative" relationship? Sure. But bottom line: if Jackson paid for the plastic surgery, it's difficult for me not to suspect child molestation.

21. Can you imagine a surgeon performing
elective surgery on a child without the parents' permission? Don't think so. I think parents are deserving of a lot of criticism in this Jackson business. Are/were these parents crazy? Did they dump this kid off with Jackson at age 2? The article says age 2 to 14.

20. I was thinking the same thing.
So, Jackson stole musical ideas from a kid. How interesting. How unlikely. As for the molestation, I just don't know. Only a jury can decide. I wish there were no clear motive for accusations of this type. Normally I'm inclined to believe the abused, but Jackson has become a target.

Yeah, he's weird. Did he molest kids? I don't know. Probably, but so far no convictions.

5. I wonder
that a kid between the ages of 2 and 14 came up with ideas that Jackson made "an awful lot of money from."

although it would explain why his last album really sucked.
