A rejection letter is a badge of honor. Seriously. So many writers just sit on their work. Getting it out there is half the battle.

Plus, no matter how good your work is, you will be rejected more often than published, so each rejection is a step closer to being accepted.

Now I mostly just write grant proposals.

Are you just submitting it to one outlet, or will you pass it on to others if this one rejects it? Sending off your writing must feel like exposing a bit of yourself. I'm very self-conscious about who reads my writing. GOOD LUCK!
