1. No, you may be his only flicker of sanity
THIRD tour and he's still drinking the kool-aid?! That is so sad.

3. we didn't talk much about it
we decided that we have different opinions. He said * invaded because millions of people died because of Saddam. What does that have to do with the U.S.? When I told him that people die in other countries also (i.e. in Africa) he didn't really had anything to reply except we have different opinions. Oh well.

7. I guess it's whatever it takes to get them through it
I'd hate to have to take his place and fight this war while knowing the truth. I have a brother in the Army and he was just as convinced and resistant to any other opinion.

8. Oh well I will see how it continues
he has a dangerous job down there. So it probably is his way of dealing with it. So that there is at least some reason why he is putting his life in danger.

5. Uh!
:scared: :scared: :scared:

But yes, to be honest, I'd tell him straight what you believe. Just to make things clear from the beginning and avoid any dissapointment in the end.

6. I told him what I think of Bush
I think saying "I don't like him at all. I think he is dangerous" is pretty much obvious
