Rant about college websites... |
|
I've spent just about the whole afternoon searching various college websites for information about their graduate programs and their graduate assistantship programs. Not one of the websites I visited are easy to navigate, it takes forever to find just the degree offerings page. Then when you get there you can never seem to find what the prerequisites to even be accepted to the the damn school are. As for grad assistantships, I'm pretty much going to have to e-mail the program director to see if they offer any but I don't want to waste my time doing that if my crappy ass degree won't get me into the school in the first place. Honestly I'm lost here, I'm graduating in May with honors but I feel that my degree won't get me into any schools without me taking a semester or two extra to do a bunch of prerequisites. (AND I DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT!). I don't have anyone in my family to talk to because I'm the first person going to grad school. I can't even mention to my dad that I want to leave the state without him getting pissed, which is why I want an assistantship so bad because I'll be doing this myself and he can't say anything about it.
Deadlines are approaching and I feel like I've done nothing, it's all too overwhelming!

1. Check out College Blue Book |
|
It's a six-volume annual that just came out. Each volume is arranged differently. Any decent reference section will have it.
