Yet another cat location update
Caesar: passed out on my pillow
Imhotep: passed out in the s.o.'s lap in the living room
Socrates: passed out under my desk
Plato: staring at me about the dinner thing
Evie: doing donuts and bank shots in the atrium
Quark: taking a bath (autowash!) in the foyer
Neutrino: watching "Chronicles of Riddick" from inside the coffee table

That is all.

:P

4. Sometimes they don't move at all for hours
I have to watch them very closely just to be able to tell they're still breathing. Kinda freaky. :scared:

5. I'm like that with Jessica
who is 15 this year and diabetic. She's gotten so thin that everytime she doesn't take a deep breath I think I've lost her. But she's feisty when she's awake, that's for sure!

10. It just sort of happened
It's about 100 lbs of cat, all rescues. All but one are related to each other. We're pretty sure Imhotep is the father of Socrates, Plato and Evie, and he's definitely Quark and Neutrino's dad.

The sounds of carnage at breakfast every morning are pretty breathtaking. :D

:hi:

15. heheh. "100 lbs of cat". that's funny.
we've got two sister cats, born Aug. 2nd, which makes them fire sign Leos....so we appropriately named them Spark and Flame.

Cute, huh? :)

13. Milo mumbles?
That's cool! Pretty much all of mine talk to themselves at one point or another. Evie is notorious for talking to martians or some other invisible lifeform, and to her toys. I had no idea twistie ties were such brilliant conversationalists. :D

16. He's always making odd little noises.
He talks to himself as he walks through the house, especially if he's found something to play with. "Mrrr. Mmmm. Reee."

Edited on Thu Jan-12-06 12:36 AM by StopThePendulum
When I call his name, or when he wants to 'talk' to you, it's forever 'mrrp....mrrp...mrrrooow..'

Two of his nicknames are "Mr.Mrrp" and "Mrrpity Mrrp"

19. My two are suspiciously quiet
But when I turned around, I saw Weebles curled up on the back of my s.o.'s chair with her head resting on his shoulder. My s.o. is drawing something, apparently according to Weebles' specifications. Percy is in his favorite spot atop my wardrobe cupboard plotting his next move against the dog (his favorite pastime these days).

22. Percy is the quintessential legend
... in his own mind. :eyes:

Storm wants so badly to play with the cats, it sometimes makes me wonder what the heck she's thinking. I've had to step in a few times in the middle of the night when she's made a dash at them and Percy take it, well... Percy-onally. That reminds me, I need to take out extra health insurance. :yoiks:
