Sweatshop-Free Alternatives to Chuck Taylors and more...

Hey guys,

We're all fair economy and civil liberties supporters here, so I thought I'd share with you this site I came across that sells sweatshop free stuff for not too much more than their originals. Included on the site are alternatives to Nike's Converse Brand Chuck Taylors, which I know most of you have at least one pair of (haha. i have two pairs!). So here it is:

1. I have a couple pairs

When Nike bought them out, I began to buy from them. I actually really like them (besides, I'm the only person who wears them). In the shoe box they include a little sheet detailing the wages and benefits the workers get, all in all a good feeling.

2. When did Nike buy Converse?

Shit. Unfortunately, some of us with large feet (Size 15) can't be as politically correct with our footware. Finding shoes at all can be a miracle. And I've always had at least one pair of Chuck Taylor's (usually more) since the late 70's.

If No Sweat will make some 15's I'll buy 'em. Until then, I gotta go with what's available.
