My 75 year old friend helps train sheriff's deputies.. He's a former cop

a retired airforce pilot, and real estate agent..and he also is a trained optician.. The guy's a workaholic with more pensions than you can shake a stick at.. anyway

Tonight he shows up at the bowling alley with a shiner and a big ole bandage on his forehead just above the eye..and a HUGE bump under it..

One of the trainees, SHOT HIM in the head this afternoon with some "non-lethal" crowd control thingie..

Everyone teased the living daylights out of him, but I can;t get over the fact and an inch lower and he could have been blinded or even killed..

He's a tough ole bird though..got patched up at the ER and headed for bowling :)

Can't say too much..(you understand why).. I am assuming that it was a beanbag thing..It must have been close though to make such a bug bump..

The bean bag shotgun is no joke...it's called the less than lethal shotgun for a reason, and it's the one use of force right below lethal...hopefully the shooter has to go back for some extra training and a little paperwork, maybe some days at the beach...
