"I brought home some birthday cake for 'the Beebs'.

Found an old picture of my boys and it brought back this "Mom" moment..

Steven (aka 'the Beebs') is 12 months & 10 days younger than Michael and 5 years younger than Scott. Somewhere around age 2, he thought of himself as their peer, and tagged along relentlessly.

There was a birthday party in the neighborhood and Steven (then 3 and a few months) was not invited, but his older brothers were.

It was a bitter blow for him to watch them go off to the party and he had to stay home.He went off to his nap, an unhappy little boy.


3 hours passed and the older ones returned. Scott changed clothes and ran out to ride his bike, but Mike came into the kitchen and reached into the pocket of his new pants and retrieved a soggy napkin which wrapped a piece of cake AND ice cream for 'the Beebs'..

The next stop was the tub, to wash off the melted ice cream that had run down his leg and into his sock..

I can almost bend my index finger ..No more shots, and the swelling is mostly gone..:)
