At what age did you have your first steady boyfriend/girlfriend?
I met Sadie in high school. Went to the prom with her, and I was 17.

1. 14. Ninth grade. He was a 13-year-old eighth grader.
We walked to movies at the neighborhood theater and held hands at school.

Youthful innocence...

I was always afraid of her popularity. Allison was her name. She played on the girls' high school basketball team.

4. Fifteen.
I stayed with her until I was 18.

I took her to the prom.

She was a nice kid, but we could have gotten into some big trouble. She was 14 when we started going out. It scares the shit out of me when I think of it now.

One interesting thing about her was that her father was in the Mafia. He was one wierd dude.

So far as I can recall, I have never had a girl friend with a father who wasn't out of it in some way. My father-in-law is actually the least wierd of all the fathers of women I dated and let me tell you, that's not saying much.

I was plagued with long distance relationships, and this one happened as I got out of college, I immediately moved away. But then, it was probably a good thing. Nice guy but too many red flags....

I asked him to the prom. We made out in my best friend's Camaro. We dated for three months and 'lost' our virginity to another (I hate that term!). We broke up when I went to Europe for two weeks and we both cheated on each other (haven't cheated since - and I was with that guy for a year and a half and would've married him but for circumstance).

Anyway, he was my first bf because he was just hot. It could never have lasted. Nothing to talk about except Pearl Jam, as I recall.

We got married when I was 18 and had a child when I was 19. But you wouldn't beleive the AMAZING kid I got out of this union. She's 20 now and wise beyond her years... in a good positive way.

She wanted to get hitched. I decided to end the relationship since that was about ten years too early for me to "settle down." Our big talk about this was in a 1958 Ford four door sedan on a cold February night. She was naturally upset and her friends were pissed at me ever after. C'est la Guerre.

13. I was 14, he was 17.
He was a foreign exchange student from Spain. He was very concerned about my age, but after we discussed the possibility of us dating with his host family and my parents, we all agreed that it was okay.

He was my first love and will never be forgotten. He ended up going to college in the States and we dated for over 2 years...we shared fantasies of some day getting married. But he wasn't my greatest love, just my first...I quickly realized that when he told me he wanted a house wife and many many MANY kids.

I wonder what he's up to and I hope he's extremely happy and successful in whatever it is he's doing.

16. I was kidnapped by pirates when I was 17.
Pirates don't have girlfriends, but the most fearsome of all dread pirates kept me as her cabin boy for a few years.

"Fetch me my pointiest bra and my blackest fountain pen, Cabin Boy! We face a most terrible enemy today."

Yes, it's true, we held hands and we kissed once or twice, and we would swim together naked in the ocean along with the other pirates, but that was it. Later she found her One True Love, and she handed the ship over to me.

Now I was a the pirate.

There was a woman I fell in love with in one port, and we used to study pirate things and drink wine together, and I was going to ask her to be my steady but as I was asking she broke into tears and confessed to me that she was married, and it broke my heart.

So now I was a very most dread pirate; lonely, bitter and cruel. I knew this would be the death of me, so I handed my ship over to a better man than I, a dashing Latin swordsman who used to drink a lot.

After nine years as a fighter, I became a man of peace.

It was then I found my True Love. Not only did she agree to be my steady, she agreed to be my wife.

Now we live happily ever after.

The end.

17. 18
I was a Freshman in college. He was 24. It ended very badly because he was, despite his age, incredably immature. Learned the hard way that age does not equal maturity.

Oddly, my current BF is 18 (I'm 20 now) and is light years ahead of both of my older former BFs I dated. Much more stable emotionally, and very mature. He's a great find :loveya:

18. I didn't have a serious relationship until I was about 27. Up until....
...that time, my life consisted of 100's of encounters with women which included nights, weeks, and months of unbridled debauchery...:D After that, I settled down...O8)

Never know when the kids might be watching!
