Help me with the name of a movie |
|
My twelve year old came home from school and said that they were shown a movie at school about what America would be like if we didn't have Democracy. He said that they told them that the movie was school approved, but it had three swear words in it. He said that he wasn't really paying attention to the movie, but it had the guy who plays Danny on West wing in it as the father. (Note - It might have been some guy who resembled Timothy Busfield) He has no idea what the name of the movie was.
It seems as though my son got five points taken from his conduct grade for arguing with his teacher that we no longer live in a free country. I'd like to find the movie over the weekend and rent it, but I don't know what it is. I checked IMDB, but since I don't really know what I'm looking for, it wasn't much help.

They shouldn't have shown that to sixth graders....I'm hoping it was something else.

7. That's what I'll have to do tomorrow |
|
The problem is, I have to leave a message for the teacher, and then wait two weeks for her to call me back.

8. I'd call the teacher and point out that by deducting points for your son |
|
speaking his mind, she proved his point utterly and completely.
Of course, the irony of punishing someone for speaking freely when what they are speaking of is the ability to speak freely would probably fly right by her head.

Ehhhh...probably not. Maybe they'll show that in schools sometime in the distant future.
