So Buffy, KitchenWitch, Robeson, JVS, and Faux pas decided to take a trip

to Washington DC to talk to W.

It was a fine sunny day when they all piled into the 1968 VW bus in Spokane. The birds were singing and there wasn't a cloud in sight. The bus was painted a cheerful pink, and was completely full of snack food, paint, stakes, and gardening tools.

As they were going down the freeway heading east, Buffy turned to KitchenWitch and said:

1. 'Who the fuck painted this goddam van pink??'

2. "Why am I going from IL to DC via Spokane?"

4. JVS piped up.

The sounds of loud arguing quickly filled the van, punctuated with the sounds of Robeson being sick all over the gardening tools from a combination of bad sushi and carsickness. It looked like it was going to be a miserable trip.

Faux pas, who was driving, was yelling into the back of the van "If you don't stop it now, I'm pulling this thing over." But the commotion continued.

Finally, with a sharp jerk of the wheel, the van lurched over to the side of the freeway.

There was a rap at the window, and a voice said "Hey, thanks for picking me up!" The whole team looked uneasily at each other and at the bearded stranger outside.

After a long pause, Robeson cleared a space back by the tools for the newcomer.

"My name is Oeditpus!" the man said.

Meanwhile, Robeson has stopped barfing and was trying to hold a conversation with Oeditpus about stock-car racing.
