Friday earworm. Topical!
By Stevie Wonder

Very superstitious, writing’s on the wall,
Very superstitious, ladders bout’ to fall,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin’ glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past.

When you believe in things that you don’t understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition ain’t the way

Very superstitious, wash your face and hands,
Rid me of the problem, do all that you can,
Keep me in a daydream, keep me goin’ strong,
You don’t wanna save me, sad is my song.

When you believe in things that you don’t understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition ain’t the way, yeh, yeh.

Very superstitious, nothin’ more to say,
Very superstitious, the devil’s on his way,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin’ glass,
Seven years of bad luck, good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don’t understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition ain’t the way, no, no, no

1. i like his early work better
La la la la la la
La la la la la la

My Cherie Amour, lovely as a summer's day
My Cherie Amour, distant as the Milky Way
My Cherie Amour, pretty little one that I adore
You're the only girl my heart beats for
How I wish that you were mine

In a cafe or sometimes on a crowded street
I've been near you, but you never notice me
My Cherie Amour, won't you tell me how could you ignore
That behind that little smile I wore
How I wish that you were mine

Maybe someday you'll see my face among the crowd
Maybe someday I'll share your little distant cloud
Oh, Cherie Amour, pretty little one that I adore
You're the only girl my heart beats for
How I wish that you were mine

La la la la la la
La la la la la la

6. Superstition reminds me
of the roller skating rink. That was the thing to do in Jr High. And they always played this.

8. good one for today, SA
and here's one for tonight just to get us in the mood for the full moon...which will actually spot on tomorrow night but I am ready for:

Dancin' in the Moonlight

We get it on most every night
When that old moon gets so big and bright
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep things light
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep things light
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

9. I think these lyrics might work, also
Just Got Paid by Johnny Kemp

Yeah!

Oh yeah! Ooh ooh yeah!
Feels good, feels good, oh huh!

Just got paid, Friday night
Party huntin', feelin' right
Body shakin', all around (Body shakin' all around)
No one thinks when I'm gettin' down

Check the mirror, we're lookin' fly
Round up the posse, jump in my ride
Radio rockin', a monster jam
Feel the rhythm, pump up the sound

I'm feelin' so good
Don't you know I'm just groovin' to the beat
I'm groovin', groovin'
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Just got paid (Just got paid) Friday night (Friday)
Party huntin', (Party huntin') Place is right
(Feelin' alright) Booty shakin', all around
(All around baby) Pour one drink when I'm gettin' down

On the floor, rockin' to the beat
All ways you sure look sweet
Fine young lady standin' by
Come on baby, sweet eye delight, hey!

I rock the world that you move
And you look so sweet when you're movin' to the beat
I'm tired of all these boring parties
Why don't we get on down?
Come on just get on down now!

Just got paid, Friday night (Money in my pocket)
Party huntin', place is right (Place is little right)
Booty shakin', all around (all the way you're lookin' 'round)
Pour one drink when I'm gettin' down

Get down, uh! (Say home)
Ha ha ha! You say it! (Say home, love)
Home home (Say home)
Ha ha! Huaaaaaaa-ow!

On the floor (On the floor)
Rockin' to the beat (Rockin' baby)
Movin' me (Always)
You sure look sweet (You sure look sweet)
Fine young lady standin' by (Young lady standin' by)
(Aw yeah!) Come on baby, we'll be out tonight
(We're feelin' fine!)

Just got paid, Friday night (Can't refuse it)
Party huntin', place is right
(Money in my pocket) Booty shakin', all around
(Showin' you a good time) Pour one drink when I'm gettin' down

Get down, yeah, gettin' down (say home)
Home home (say home, love)
Home home home (say home)
Huaaaaaaa-ow!

Teddy! You're playin'!

Aaaahh!!!

Shake it up, shake it up!
I'm just got paid…I'm feelin', I'm feelin' nice

Just got paid, Friday night (Just got paid…Friday)
Party huntin', place is right (Party huntin', tell me where to party!)
Booty shakin', all around (Tell me where to party, ow!)
Pour one drink (come on) when I'm gettin' down (Get down)
Just got paid, Friday night (Just got paid…Friday)
Party huntin', place is right (Parties huntin' ????)
(Havin' a good time baby) Booty shakin', all around
(Havin' a good time baby yeah) Pour one drink when I'm gettin' down
(I'm gettin' down) Just got paid (gettin' gettin' gettin' down)
Friday night (gettin' gettin' gettin' down)
Party huntin', place is right (Yeah)
Booty shakin', all around (Whoa) (Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah)
Pour one drink when I'm gettin' down

Gettin' down, oh, I said gettin' down down
Gettin' down down

"I love to hear ya!" "Yo Kemp!" "Yeah!" "Hey!"
"Thanks, Aaron, Teddy, you guys be cool!" "Ha! Ha!" "That's it!"

12. For those who get paid twice a month
Edited on Fri Jan-13-06 10:46 AM by Lurking_Argyle
if the 15th falls during the weekend, you get paid the Friday before. Thus, Friday the 13th is always payday.

Friday the 13th--it isn't just for superstition anymore.
