I have a first edition copy of the book by Herman Wouk. The movie is very faithful to the book. :)

4. There's even a 4 second performance by Lee Marvin too. |
|
One of the sailors who poked his head through the passageway during the strip search. Also, the Dad from "Dennis the Menace", and "Jerry" from the old "Dick Van Dyke Show". are in this film.

I love it when he gets the drink thrown in his face at the end. Fred was very good when he played against type.

13. Great Movie but they could have lost the "romantic subplot". |
|
I have it on tape and I usually fast forward through all the scenes with Ensign Keith and the "singer".
