Last night I Jacked

up my knee cross country skiing on icy trails! :( It wasn't a terrible hit--but it was exactly the same sort of tweak I had done only a few days earlier...sigh. Walking is a bit of a buzz wrecker this morning.

The warm sunny weather is nice and all, but it isn't helping me with my new activity much. I am improving, but skiing on a slanty hockey rink has it's disadvantages.

I miss my kayak--is it spring yet?

On the plus side, the trails are in such bad shape I won't have any choice but to give it a few days off--there's plenty of grass and soil showing through!

2. I saw a video of someone that took their kayak on the slopes.

An idea maybe?

It did seem silly to me, but he looked like he was having fun. I don't know what the terrain would do to a kayak, though.

4. I've seen some pretty

kickass video of snow kayaking. I think Teton Gravity Research films has some stuff like that.

Those boats are built like tanks, so as long as you avoid scraping the bottom over rock or concrete it'd probably be ok. I think it looks like a pretty good way to destroy a shoulder though.

By the way--that was cruel of you flvegan! Getting all the DU ladies' hopes up as to your single-staus, only to pull the ol' Hoff out on 'em! :rofl:

And I love TGR, which is probably where I saw the clip I mentioned. Those guys are just plain sick. I don't think I'd live through half of the stuff they capture on video.

When I posted that thread, I honestly wasn't thinking anyone would think (or wish) it were me. That said, if they did, sometimes you gotta unleash the Hoff.
