A good example, which I am so proud of, was something Nikki said to me last week as we walked home from school.
She had been rehearsing her line for the Martin Luther King Jr. play that she was going to be in with the rest of grade 3. We were talking and I was asking if she was nervous and all that, to which she said no, and then there was a little lull in the conversation when she suddenly said, "And Dad, you know if it wasn't for Martin Luther King, I wouldn't have some of the friends I have."
