What are your plans for this weekend?
I'm not sure yet.. but I think the Triangle DUers are getting together tomorrow night. Voting is inconclusive still. Can't wait! :bounce:

I also splurged and got the entire series collections for both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.. Yes, I'm a Joss Whedon geek. :D So I will watch some fo those.

So, what are you up to?

1. Catching up on sleep...
...tonight, birthday party tomorrow, and Sunday morning brunch with some DU'ers.

It'll be my firstest time ever to meet a few DU'ers...anything I should know? :dunce:

5. Tomorrow
I take my dog to meet a pickup for a breeder. She's in heat, and the time is now! We drive into Ok. from N.Texas. She'll be in Kansas for the "deed" and we'll pick her up in a couple of weeks.

Sunday-hiking in a park I just discovered in Arlington.

My favorite to hike was right off of Green Oaks and N. Collins. I also like Veteran's Park as well...

17. I'm so bad with names!
Of course, the name of it will pop in my head, oh, around 2:30 this morning, more than likely...

But I remember it had a nice, steep, thigh-cramping hill that I just loved rushing up! There's a really nice series of parks all along North Green Oaks.

I moved from Arlington to Austin about 7 years ago - I lived in the Green Oaks/360 corridor for many many years. I still get to Fort Worth every few months or so. I hope to get back there someday! How are you liking it so far?

18. Getting used to it. Hey, the weather's been great!
Except for the lack of rain. I moved here from the K.C. area, afer living there 9 years. I'm an East Coast/southern girl, but the midwest is okay. The only problem is, I left my now-grown children back in Kansas, much to their and our dismay. I do need to take some weekend exploration trips, and Austin is on my itinerary. Hope to meet you sometime soon!

...and I'm very moisture-starved too!

I can see how a tranplant like that would be off-setting for everyone! But that would be great to meet-up with you D/FW DU'ers too...

I don't really "play" baritone sax. I attempt to play. :D :D :D

I love piano the best, though I've played clarinet the longest. I really have to practice piano, soon, actually, since my lesson's on Monday and I haven't practiced at allthis week. Well, they do give us too much homework...

Thank you, though, for your kind words, nova. :D

Bright spot: taking 3 yo great-grandaughter to the raptor show at the museum this afternoon.

She was recently overheard to tell her best friend -on the pretend phone, of course: "When I'm 28, I'm going to see the new Harry Potter movie. Actually, when I'm 28, I'm going to see them all."

She obviously had been told she was too young to see it when she expressed a desire to go with the rest of the family. I'm sooooooooo crazy about her! :)
