Some nitwit rear-ended me at a light tonight. |
|
Smashed the shit out of the front of his car. Not even a scratch on mine. He hit my trailer hitch. And, what's better, there was a cop right behind him that saw the whole thing.
I let the poor fucker go. He was not drunk. I was not hurt, and my car is fine.
What's the point?

1. I don't understand what you mean by letting him go. I know what you |
|
mean about "What's the point?" - but how was it your decision to let him go if the cop saw it?

3. Ah. Well I didn't know that, even as a native NYer. Been driving since |
|
'75 with no accidents, so I'm rather lightly informed on such matters.

5. I'd probably have been in some if I'd stayed in NYC. Although, I pretty |
|
much always used mass transit, so maybe not.

6. I've been rear-ended before, but it wasn't his fault. |
|
There was some black ice on the road and I skidded. Luckily my car stopped without hitting anything, but the driver behind me couldn't stop. He hit me and smashed the back of my car pretty good. He was driving a pickup truck, so he didn't even have a dent. The policeman didn't charge him. And his insurance company paid for the damage to my car.
