Best New Relationship CD or Album Ever
Okay, now for the opposite of the other thread.

You have just fallen in love with someone new, or are embarking on a serious new relationship.

What is the best Entire Album or CD for this?

Me? I'm stumped, can't think of one in particular...

1. "Astral Weeks?"

Shit, that's an odd question.

Uh..."Hats" by the Blue Nile might be a good one, although my wife tells me it's depressing. I think it's beautiful.

Or maybe "Pet Sounds," because of "Wouldn't it Be Nice?"

Trying to think of some relentlessly upbeat albums that feel like the rush of new love....

OOOH! Prefab Sprout! "Jordan: The Comeback" has a lot of filler, but it feels like falling in love, especially "Looking For Atlantis."

I dunno.

2. Isn't "Astral Weeks" by Van Morrison?
I know he had an "Astral" album...

4. Yes....I just assumed everybody knew that.
Sorry, big rock dork showing my elitism.

There's about a hundred or so seperate songs that I could think of for a good MIX CD, but no single, cohesive album by one artist that could qualify for this. I wish I could help you out, man!

3. Pet Sounds was my first thought
But that's not a very cohesive "new love" type album. Sure the themes are there but they don't really follow for every song.

Hmm this is a tough question. I think it's true that pain and suffering lead to art more than joy and optimism...
