I just got back from that evil bastion of socialism |

The public library.
It's truly pathetic that our intrusive nanny-state big government thinks it knows what's best for us and has decided that it would be better if we read. So they steal money from the people in the form of taxes (taken by force, mind you) and use that ill-gotten cash to buy books and other media. The Toronto Public Library has over 11 million items in its system! Talk about bloated government.
What's worse is that in order to use the library, you have to deal with bureaucratic red tape to get a library card. They make you fill out a form where you have to reveal a bunch of personal information. Obviously this is to they can track you more efficiently. That is the function of government: to perform frivolous and unnecessary surveillance on its citizens.
(So whadday'all think? Could I get a job as a speechwriter for the Libertarian Party?)
