Anyone got a good non-medicinal cure for sinus headaches? |
|
I occasionally get wicked sinus headaches. I'd rather not take those anti-sinus medications if i can avoid it.
Do you know of any good natural cure?
I'm already familiar with the hot towel on the forehead trick. It sometimes works temporarily, but I was wondring if there are any other tricks. Maybe some herbal combination that'll blast it loose, or some other technique.
My throbbing head will thank you.

10. Yeah, it works, but snort the salt water while you're in the shower. |
|
It can get messy.
Also, one of those microwave gel-pack deals works better than a hot towel; they hole the heat a lot longer.
One other thing: Buy some REALLY HOT peppers, like habaneros (scotch bonnets). Mash them up in a couple of teaspoons of vinegar. Then stick your nose down close to them and inhale deeply a few times. Really.

11. Saline nasal spray is good |
|
or anything that will make you sneeze-- you can sniff pepper (don't inhale, though!). You need to sneeze and blow your nose a lot so all the stopped-up phlegm comes out.
