Sheesh. SNL is horrible.

Not even the scrumptious Scarlett Johanson can keep me watching. Has anyone seen anything funny on this show recently?

22. And every year since then people have been saying
that the new season sucks and isn't as good as previous seasons. Its like a ritual. SNL is only good 3-5 years later.

3. I agree. Thankfully, there is Comedy Central.
Mad TV is pretty funny most of the time.

Jeez, even the musical gusts on SNL suck. These guys are really bad.

11. If Mad TV morphed into SNL it would be great again
I love watching reruns during the day when I can. Mad TV has excellent writers, and is becoming funnier than ever.

Christ even "Fridays" from 25 years ago is funnier than SNL today.

Edited on Sun Jan-15-06 03:30 AM by Mojambo
It was like every bad rock performance cliche all in one super long performance. Forte was awesome.

He does a lot of good stuff. It gets lost among the other SNL material, which is crap.

15. Not for me. The entire show sucked big time.
Waste of time watching... nothing even came close to making me even smile. Just horrible.

Seems like every sketch, to me, is just a bad reinvention of something that was really funny on SNL many years ago.

17. SNL goes through cycles of good and bad
Remember right after the original cast had left - it sucked something fierce! SNL struggled a couple of years until they brought Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscabo into the cast and then BAM it was "Must Watch TV"

So it'll flounder again a few years and then the next big thing will get on the cast and click with the audience. Give it time!

23. I despise the way they redo sketches that weren't mildly funny to begin
with. Like the MTV4 rave show -that truly sucks to no end.

And why does every sketch have to be a take-off on a television show? Do these people believe that the universe ends at the door of a television studio?

She sings very well and was the most believable 'actor' there.

28. The only thing I like on SNL anymore is the news.
And I think part of what makes it good is the brevity of each story. If one thing sucks, you're done with it in fifteen seconds, and you're on to the next story. Honestly, though, I think they do pretty well most of the time.

And last night, Scarlett looked great as always. I'm looking forward to seeing "Match Point."

The MTV4 thing sucked so much.
And the Duluth Live one started out good, but got repetitious and annoying.
