In honor of my 15,000 post......a new pic of my stained glass window...

This window was designed by my oldest daughter in honor of our 30th wedding anniversary...ten years ago....

Without sharing it's difficult for me not to shrivel and become cold inside. Sometimes I feel like what's the point and sometimes I feel like my heart has become hardened. Then the Springtime returns and I feel alive again for a while.

Thank you for your kind words of compassion. Sometimes it helps to cry. The tears always come when I talk about him. He spent the last few months of his life hospitalized, he loved life so much he didn't want to let go of it.

My husband and I do cherish our window a lot.....It will always be part of our lives here, as long as we live here.....hopefully FOREVAH!

And the Speech! Well, I found out to my great relief, that it only had to be FIVE minutes!

It went very well! I had a nice round of applause after......of course, everyone did, but mine sounded louder, to me, at least!

There were two small criticisms....I needed to look at my audience...

And I needed to summarize my main points at the end......

Otherwise, they liked it a lot...They liked my passion, and my reasoning both.....Can't beat that!

And now I have a much better grasp of just what the Campaign for Clean Money means to us all......

dumped onto Manhattan Beach. Started at noon, still not under control. The story's on right now, so...

They're building huge sand berms to keep it from getting into the ocean.

Oh God...2 million gallons of shit. Literally.

Beaches (from the Manhattan Beach pier to Redondo) closed for a couple of days, at least.

It's seeping into the sand, so once they get the shit flow to stop they'll have to clean all the sand (god only knows how they'll do that).
