1. Thanks for the reminder. |

I'm not a big TV watcher, by nature, but I must say, I've heard good things about this new season and I did check out an episode or two during Year 1 and was impressed...just never got into watching it regularly.
2 hrs tonite and 2 hrs tomorrow nite, too, right?? I'll check it out.
:hi:

3. Who will be 24's Liberal Punching Bag? |
|
Last year it was the fill-in prez and that hippie son. Who will it be this year? Still dig the show...even though Kiefer wrestles Christmas Trees.

5. Yeah, that really turned me off to the last season. |

Previous seasons really steered clear of defining any specific political leanings of 24's characters (even President Palmer). I was disappointed. Between the ACLU attorneys, the neo-hippie son, mentions of a Heritage Foundation gala, and Willam DeVane's "sixth-grade Michael Moore logic" quip, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

9. Oddly enough, the VP... |
|
Who is now the President this season, is actually a Republican (Palmer, of course, a Democrat, though they only mentioned that briefly).
The whole straw man arguments they put together last year were kind of bad. I hope this season they try to stay away from politics. (Who can forget the Season 3 storyline: Palmer fights to save healthcare from a huge political donor set to blackmail him because his brother slept with his wife.) Yeah, that sucked.
