I emailed the school newspaper from my old high school

I hope that I didn't sound mean but it is apparaent that an author of one of the articles didn't research her story very hard. The story was about the history of school newspapers at the school. She stated that no one knew how long the (newspaper), which had begone in the early 90s and was advised by (teacher) had been published.
I realize that the school has high teacher turn over rate and that there are maybe only three teachers from that era still there and they were probably the ones asked. I wonder if she tried contacting any of the alumni at all, many of who still live in that area and some of who now have children in the district.
I informed them that the newspaper lasted until midway through the 1994-1995 school year and that it was disbanded after the adviser grew frustrated with the high school principal insisting on censoring it and taking a long time at it. I also offered to be a resource if they needed anyone to answer questions about that era.
