As Seen On TV! Did you buy it? Did it work?
I just saw this product on TV:

and I'm thinking I have to have it. My dog sheds so badly that I can barely stand it. But...

Will it work? The last As Seen On TV item I bought was a total bust: The OneSweep broom. I got it because the commercial made it look like it just about sucks pet hair out of the carpet but it doesn't even come close to performing as shown. I tried it on my tile floors, too, for the squeegee action. But the problem is that, once, you squeegee the water on a floor, you still have to remove it. So the OneSweep only added a step to mopping, in my opinion. Anyway, I gave it to my husband and told him that he could use it to squeegee the garage floor, when he cleans it.

Yeah, right. Like that's ever gonna happen. :eyes:

One As Seen On TV item that I really liked? A long time ago, one of my kids gave me a Ronco Inside-the-Egg-Shell Egg Scrambler, and it really worked. Until it stopped working about two weeks after I got it. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted.

Who else has been suckered into buying an As Seen On TV item? Did it work for you?

and it staved off my desire to buy a remote control TV for year until I discovered my border collie learned to turn on the TV when we weren't home by simply barking. That damn Clapper thing was one of the wonders of the world in its time.

Actually, somebody gave my daughter a Chia Pet and it was a hassle and a half to keep green and unmoldy. As soon as she lost interest in it, I tossed it.

The clapper, on the other hand...that's one I've always wanted to try.

22. It works with steam and salt
The salt is the key.... these are rollers and you put the roller on the end of the salt steamer and stick it in your hair. The cool thing is, your hair stays in place and does not fall. It's really a great product, I've had it since the early 80's.

The salt doesn't dry out your hair? Actually, I suppose it would be less damaging than hairspray, and probably less stiff, as well.

Resist those calls (or ignore them), and enjoy the rotisseries. It really does work as well as they say it does.

56. The lids work on all of the containers?
I didn't realize that. I'm always losing my Tupperware to my boys, who take home leftovers, every time they come over. I should get a set for each of them to keep in their vehicles. That way, they'd have their own containers and I could hang onto mine. Knowing them, though, their containers would never make it back to their cars, after they washed them, and they'd probably still swipe mine.

Oh well, at least they like my cooking, huh? :)

89. Don't give them your Tupperware. Get some ZIploc or Glad
storage containers. They work great, they're washable and reusable, but if you never see them again or they get thrown out, it's no biggie.

Plus, if the leftovers go bad, you can see inside and know, and throw the whole damned thing out unopened. :)

It really, really removes a lot of dead hair. Not quite the mountains in the ad, but close. I haven't noticed a big difference in the actual amount of shedding, but it's a really effective brush.

Just don't brush in the wrong direction or you'll shave your pet.

and in summer, it's unbelievable. Doesn't seem to make a diff how much I brush them. Soemtimes I vacuum the air when I see the hair floating in the sun rays. Not that that makes any diff either. I guess it is one of the joys of cat ownership. A lot of times I will brush the cats on the deck in warm weather and then they go in the house and shed 2 minutes later.

43. Oh, my! Thanks for the advice!
I guess I'm just a gizmo sucker but I'm really thinking of trying it. My dog sheds badly twice a year--from mid-July to early August and again from late December to mid-January. It literally falls off of her in huge clumps and she's a shepherd-chow mix with lots of fur.

Also, they include that cool looking lint brush which I'd give to my son, since he likes to "de-lint," before going to work.

37. I have two things:
The first thing is the flip-fold and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It's this blue hard plastic thing that lets me fold shirts quickly and perfectly so they're all the same size:

The second is the chopper. It's not bad but not perfect. The blade isn't as sharp as I would like it and it gets stuck some times but overall it works well:

66. here's the thing though....
when I fold without the flip and fold, the shirts become more wrinkled and oddly shaped so when I stack them in my closet, they're not steady. It doesn't really matter if you put folded clothes in drawers, but if you mainly use closet shelves, it's much easier with this thing.

If it makes you think better of me, it really was a gift. :)

48. I don't know. It takes me about that time to fold, and I fold pretty
even and nicely so I never even thought of buying something like that. :hi:

69. I know. I tried to do it but I failed.
I'm gonna have to buy a flip fold. It does towels, too. I watched a video on the flip fold web site. I'm impressed.

59. Bare Minerals
I have to go to the actual boutique to buy my winter color though, because the kit did not have the lightest color in it, and I get really fair in the winter months.

76. Have you tried to vaccum the dog with your vac hose/brush attachment?
I use it on our blabbie, Budward, and he LOVES it! He gets a nice brushing, the hair goes in the bag, and voila! He was afraid of the vac as a pup but once I started gently vaccing him , he decided it was great! He comes running now when we vac, and waits patiently for his turn.

...vacuum brush attachment and it didn't pull anything from her coat.

84. have you tried a rubber horse brush?
I had a Norweigian Elkhound with a very thick undercoat and that worked well--

85. I bought the pancake thing -- the little round griddle just for making
one pancake at a time. Sure it worked, but . . . why?!

Seemed like a good idea at the time. :eyes:

BTW, the "Shed Ender" prob'ly won't work any better than any product you can get at your local pet store. Ask your groomer (or a groomer) what's best. Good luck! :hi:

It doesn't really seal all that well. You cannot make yourself a water bra with it.:evilfrown:
