4. That is Myers Briggs
The MMPI is over 500 yes or no questions. It is IMHO the root cause of all evil.

5. Those "personality tests" are utter bullshit. Every one of them.
Astrology would be about as accurate.

6. I thought the MMPI was outdated.
I had a bunch of 'em a few years ago.
Didn't learn anything new - just understood it better.

9. Ugh. Minnesota multi-phasic personailty inventory.
I learned, long ago, that I'm not patient enough to spend hours repeatedly confirming that I'm not pursued by demons or obsessed with scat.

10. I believe it was the MMPI that classified me SIAT.
Submissive Introvert Abstract Thinker.

Called by some: "The Mastermind Personality." A website with stripped down parodies of the MMPI declared me something similar and told me not to learn German. That site also said that only 8% of the population has my personality type. Don't know if that's true ot not.

13. Apparently I am a "whining rotter" (score 1.9)

If your score is... You are...
Less than 2 A whining rotter.
2 to 3 A liberal airhead.
3 to 4.5 Within normal limits; an appropriate score for an American. (The overall average score for groups tested in the original study is listed in the 1950 publication as 3.84, with men averaging somewhat higher and women somewhat lower.)
4.5 to 5.5 You may want to practice doing things with your left hand.
5.5 or higher Have trouble keeping the lint off your black shirts?

12. I used to drink beer and wine with one of the men
who came up with the MMPI. I used to kid him about the question: "My feet are generally warm enough. True or False?"

I have taken this various times and always thought about old Ed, my psychologist buddy. This test or another like it, by the way, indicated I was impervious to psychological analysis because i would always come up with an apposite literary quotation for all situations!! I don't know if that's true or not but it sounded somewhat flattering.

16. Just recently, have no idea what the results were...
I thought it was one of the most bizarre tests I've taken. here I am, cruising along answering questions like:

I like flowers.
I enjoy cooking.
I enjoy writing.

And suddenly...

I think someone is trying to poison me.

The first time it happened I was like "Huh?" but by the end I was giggling every time I saw one of the strange questions.
