Is clothing really necessary?
For those of you who live alone - is clothing really a necessity when just lounging about the house?

Wierd thing is, this place has no windows that can be opened, so we have to prop the front door open for ventilation.

101. ah...well, in that case, it depends on the temperature
< 60 degrees fahrenheit: yes it is necessary

> 60 degrees: not particularly

Just speaking for myself here. Actually, my original thought was that just a blanket would do fine even in the cold, and often does in my house. But that could be considered "clothing", I guess. :)

used the complimentary term of calling someone "a peach."

But don't worry; I am happy to be responsible in some small part for reviving that old term, because it's undeservedly underused these days. And there are so many DUers who can only be described as such.

Spread the word, Rev, spread the word far and wide.

In the winter, in places like New England or Wisconsin or Minnesota, you just can't AFFORD to keep the house warm enough for nekkitude.

Unless you don't live alone, and there are activities that can generates some heat...such as some that happened at Casa R earlier this evening...I had to turn the propane firelogs off for a while.

If you don't mind me telling about that.

80.  But always remember and never forget
a) never eat fried chicken naked, b) becareful of closing doors quickly. Both can be painful in very different ways.

84. Simple solutions:
a)I always keep paper towels handy
b)in a house full of cats, there is no such thing as a closed door.

81. it definitely is
first, because it is freezing in this drafty house even this far south
second, in the summer I am usually only wearing a pair of shorts. Why not? For one thing, clothing allows me to leave the house in a moment's notice without searching around for a pair of shorts.
Third, there are other practical reasons which are better left unmentioned, although you might see them in your dirty laundry.

93. No, and it wasn't even necessary when I was NOT alone.
Unfortunately the aging body isn't as nice to look at as it used to, so I tend to cover it more and more. But when it's very hot under this roof I still go without clothes day and night even when the SO is around. Then discomfort would be worse than my looks.

94. If I were more comfortable
with the house in which my self and soul live, I'd prolly take the tarp off of it more often. But old scar tissue goes deep.

Besides, what if someone comes over?

I have them too. :hi:

I'm posting topless as I type. :7

I often go nude around here. There's really no point to clothes since I live alone.
