Win an NFL playoff game = Go home and beat your wifey
"Honey I'm so happy we won, and I love you so much, I'm gonna slap the ever-livin' piss outta you, just like Yaphet Kotto and Jane Seymour in 'Live and Let Die!!'"

SEATTLE (AP) - Seahawks starting right tackle Sean Locklear was being held without bail Monday in the King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence, the team said.

Locklear was booked early Sunday, hours after playing in the team's 20-10 playoff win over the Washington Redskins. It wasn't immediately clear who filed the complaint against him.

Sgt. John Urquhart, spokesman for the King County sheriff's office, didn't return a call seeking comment.

Locklear's status for the NFC championship game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday was unknown. He was a third-round draft choice out of North Carolina State in 2004.

1. It wouldn't surprise me if Holmgren benched him.
Mike usually has zero tolerance for shit like this.

3. Honestly - it's the only way to reel in these egomaniacs.
At any rate, he's in for a shitstorm of a confrontation.

God, I miss Mike. :(

5. Not wifey, not at home, apparently
ESPN story says it was his girlfriend. They were at a pool hall, she was dancing with another man, they argued about it, and he grabbed her either by the throat or around the neck, according to differing versions. Bystanders called cops. Girlfriend says he didn't do anything. Let's hope she doesn't one day regret saying that.

8. Now that is an interesting turn.
Usually it is in the city of the losing team that domestic abuse cases go up by 25% after the game, not the winning city.

Hopefully Holmgren will do the right thing and sit his ass down next Sunday.

9. In Indy, it's the wives you gotta watch out for...
In the effort to supply "fair and balanced" NFL coverage (NOT), here's to equal time on wives who attack their Colts hubbies (and this was BEFORE Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh)...

Colts Cornerback Injured in Family Dispute
<http://www.wishtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=4364434>

Off the field, Colts cornerback Nicholas Harper had his own set of troubles this weekend. He was victim of a domestic dispute on Saturday that sent him to the hospital..."There is a big story breaking, it concerns the status of Colts cornerback Nick Harper, he was injured in a domestic dispute yesterday," CBS sportscaster Greg Gumbel said Sunday.

The NFL Today showed Nick Harper on the field before the Colts-Steelers game Sunday, testing his leg following an alleged assault by his wife Daniell Saturday afternoon.

"He has a cut right on his right thigh right above the knee. It required three stitches to get closed. It happened yesterday afternoon. His wife has been charged with battery with a deadly weapon. She remains in the Hamilton County jail," Dan Dierdorf with CBS Sports said.

Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Carter says the incident in the Harper's home started as a conversation, but quickly escalated.

"He leaned back in the bed, when he did apparently his right leg came up at which time the knife went into his right knee just above his knee cap," Sheriff Doug Carter explained..."There were two knives involved, one was a folding buck knife, the one that was used to inflict the injury was a full size steel blade filet knife," Sheriff Carter said.

Harper's children were inside the home at the time of the alleged assault. Daniell Harper is currently in the Hamilton County jail charged with battery and criminal recklessness.

11. His wife may have won the game for Pittsburgh in the end
Since it was Harper who recovered the goal line fumble who knows if Ben could have tripped him up had Harper been at 100%.
