and sometimes writer.

Career-wise, I'm a newspaper copy editor. But the newspaper business has gotten very, very ugly.

10. I don't write much at all
It's mostly editing — some for web sites, some for local publications, like the chamber of commerce and other businesses and business groups.

The last thing of any substance I wrote is here: http://www.govtech.net/magazine/channel_story.php/96817

Voc Rehab Counselor. I gather info from the worker, the doc, the employer, physical therapist, and anyone else involved, and, based on state law, determine whether a person is employable, needs retraining, or qualifies for pension.

Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 04:08 AM by Omphaloskepsis
20% construction/low voltage electrical work (pulling wire)
20% Repairing projectors in movie theaters

edit -- And that is % of income. The movie gig only takes up about 2% of my time. I just charge a bunch for it.

26. True!
But there has to be more to it for you than just the bucks. Like with my job. Good money, but if that's all it was, well, I wouldn't have lasted 16 years!

32. Oh yes, there are intrinsic rewards to the jobs
But I'll admit that as soon as I can get my Master's and get one job that will pay my bills I'll be out of here. I don't want to have to be working two jobs for the rest of my life.
