Anyone ever "disrupt" a cell phone call?
I've been so tempted to start yelling "shut up! shut up! shut up! shut up!" until the person has to get off the phone.

I'm not talking about quick conversations "Michelle?! Where are you?!! Oh, okay, I'm at the supermarket!! I'll meet you at Starbucks at 4:30!! Bye!"

Or people who keep their voice at a reasonable level (reasonable = the people around you can't hear what you're saying), but those who talk on and on in a very loud voice. I don't CARE if you're trying to close a takeover of f%cking GM, do it somewhere else, or keep your voice down.

SO and I were plagued by one of these in the grocery store recently, and we both started yelling "HEY! THIS GUY MUST BE REALLY IMPORTANT!! DOESN'T HE SOUND IMPORTANT??!! DO YOU THINK HE'S IMPORTANT?!!!" but the guy didn't even notice us, so we stopped, because we didn't want to drive the other shoppers nuts.

Just wondered if anyone has ever had ANY success making a Cellphone Abuser STFU.

1. Well you can always get one of these
<http://www.globalgadgetuk.com/Personal.htm> A little pricy, but I'm almost to the point of thinking that it is worth it.

8. did it at the movies a week and a half ago
a middle aged lady sitting right behind me.
"Hello....I can't talk....I can't talk...no...no....I can't talk"
I gave her the "do you mind" treatment as did the person I was with. The callee didn't say anything and was quiet the rest of the time.
Another phone went off during the same movie. The offender this time got up and took the call outside. I wanted to bear his children and I'm a guy.
It will soon reach the point where we won't talk about this anymore. We will simply accept that people will take calls whenever the hell they feel like it.

9. I know someone who had an AWESOME solution to that problem.
He was stuck on a commuter train with someone who sat down and immediately started having an inane conversation with someone loud enough for the entire train car to hear. After she ignored several pointed looks and shushes from people, my friend had enough. He sat down directly behind her and pretended to dial a cell phone with super loud beeps. The "conversation" went like this: "BEEP-beep-beep-beep-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP...RING RING... HELLO?! HI HONEY!!!!! I'M ON THE TRAIN!!! I'LL BE HOME SOON! I JUST WANTED TO CALL AND TELL YOU ALLLLLLLLLLL ABOUT THE GIRL SITTING ON THE TRAIN WITH ME! SHE'S REALLY COOL! SHE HAS A CELL PHONE CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! WELL SHE IS SO COOL AND YET SHE IS KIND ENOUGH TO SHARE ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL THE DETAILS OF HER LIFE WITH EVERYONE ON THE TRAIN ! AND I MEAN ALL OF THEM! WANNA HEAR SOME?! WELL, FIRST OF ALL, SHE PROBABLY ISN'T GOING TO MEET BEN LATER BECAUSE HE PISSED HER OFF. SO SHE'S FREE IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING..."

This continued until the woman got off her phone, got up and left the car. As she was leaving EVERYONE on the car loudly applauded my friend. I laughed my ass off when I heard this story.
