Don't use First American Title Insurance / Escrow services
I was being considered for a job w/ an office of FA in Wa state, but found out that they outsource their policy creation to the Phillipines. For this and other reasons I withdrew my name from consideration.

btw .... I still need a job

1. Wow - I didn't know that.
Good luck with the job search.

I used North American for my house. I didn't know anything about them, they just came recommended.

2. Actually, the whole culture in that industry
is pretty conservative. I worked with a freeper at Chicago Title in Austin who used to suggest to his developer friends that they should build out over the aquifer and stuff like that.

I would love to do something else. butI need a job. ... sorry I missed yall in Austin
sunday.

4. I'm headed to Denton
tommorrow morning to talk to some folks about a title job up there.

Title - real estate - too cozy with developers etc.
Developers are like flies on a dead horse.

But we had to sell our place in Llano County and are essentially homeless ... at the Best Western in Llano today. Don't know if I'll be able to get to Austin for the next brunch either.

6. Well, at least you got your place sold.
That's part of the battle. I wish you luck on the job in Denton.

5. don't drink pepsi, eat quaker oats, drink gatorade
tropicana or eat frito lay products.

they outsource their IT supply chain support to india.

don't use most businesses or buy their products, as most customer call service operations are outsourced overseas too.
