Should I enter a Gingerbread House Making Contest Against My Teachers
Edited on Thu Nov-27-03 12:41 AM by corarose
I just found out that some of my favorite Teachers are entering the Gingerbread House Competition that is being held at a Chicago Hotel.

I would feel a bit odd up against my Teachers and If I won I think that I would feel guilty for some odd reason.

I don't want them hating me and I can wait until next year but I want to Win That Darn contest real bad.

What would you do?

1. Go for it!
part of entering the career is finding and embracing your own authority. I say enter! Maybe you won't win, but you'll likely learn a lot from the experience. And if you do win, then yu've got an awesome ego booster and much respect from the community and also something for the resume!

Don't pass it up just because some of your teachers are entering. Maybe they'll be bitter, quite likely they would be excited if you won.

Go kick their asses!

2. I will start building it tomorrow
I made them all weekend long and I know the ingredients and how they are put together.
I am going to have to make Marzipan figurines because everything has to be edible.

God Bless & Thanks

3. Were I a teacher
I would be thrilled if a student beat me in a competition! It means, to me, that I have exceeded expectations and at least one student learned!

4. tear 'em up buckaroo! they wont hate you, they will respect you.
and any success on your part means that the task they do by teaching is also successful. by participating in the competition you are exhibiting yourself as the flower of the seed they planted.

if you win, i promise, they will cry.
