pictures of South France (pic heavy)
My mom and her bf were in South France over Christmas and New Year. They allowed me to post some pics from there. Here is a map of France and the area where they were for you to get an idea.

It was the land of the Cathars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathar) and there are a lot of ruins of castles.

15. I *knew* it!
It has been suggested in some modern fiction and non-fiction books that the Cathars could have been the protectors of the Holy Grail of Christian mythology, especially in the book Holy Blood, Holy Grail, although modern investigation into this book has largely discredited its findings.

45. There's only two bits in 'Meaning of Life' I really like
"Every Sperm is Sacred" and, of course, Mr. Creosote. Oh, and I guess the bit where John Cleese is teaching sex ed, and the one that leads into that with the prayer "O, Lord, thou art so huge..."

BTW — did you ever see the two Flying Circus episodes they did for German TV? Most of the bits in them were new; the only one I can think of that they re-made was the lumberjack sketch, and it's freakin' hilarious in German, even though I can't understand it.

An meiner Seite, mein liebes Mädel...
