you and foreigncorrespondent are both hurting so much.
You're both fortunate in having found each other in this big harsh world. I hope you find a way to be together so you can ease each other's pain.
In re DU - it's just a board. It can be a good place to get some vague sense of emotional support. It can be a hell-hole. The anonymity aspect makes it easy for people who want to hate to hurl hurtful words at others, but you should both know not everyone here is hateful or antagonistic.

...hateful or antagonistic. Not at all. In fact, this latest gay "thing" has brought out some amazing support from some wonderful people.
It's those who keep hammering it home that my life is nothing more than a "wedge issue" that should be "ignored" who hurt me so much.
It has nothing to do with FC. We may be lovers, but we're not joined at the hip. My hurt is my hurt. And if I were single, it wouldn't hurt any less.
I guess it's time for one of those breaks of mine again. I'm not doing myself or anyone else any good right now. I'll see you guys after the New Year.
Thanks for the hug, Kk. I needed that.
