Need help from knowledgeable computer person
Lately every time I try to download anything, I get the following message

"There was a problem loading the file specified when running the Accessibility Wizard"

Any idea what that is?

Or how to fix it?

1. here's a little trick
Enter the exact error message on Google with the quotation mark " in between the quote. like "error: someone bit my ass"

It'll tell you what the problem is via many articles..

Google is a wonderful thing.

2. Thanks - what a great resource
There were a dozen people asking the same question on different sites.

Two possible answers

Load adobe acrobat version 5

Reinstall your unzipper

Of course I don't know how to do that either, but it's a start.

3. File Specified
It sounds like the Accessibility Wizard couldn't handle the file you were downloading, possibly because it doesn't recognize the type of file. Here's a site that shows you how to make changes to the Accessibility Wizard: http://howto.lycos.com/lycos/step/1,,9+27163+27241+27244,00.html

There's a Catch 22 here. If you have some kind of handicap that makes it necessary to use the Accessibility Wizard, you won't be able to read the instructions how to fine-tune it. It may be that all you need is to tell the Wizard what a .zip file is.

4. Thanks for the reply
I don't need any of those special options, nor have I ever messed with any of them. How do I tell it what a zip file is? The game I was trying to download were in zip files.

5. My advice is to download the latest winzip and just re-install
You can find a download link on this page: http://www.winzip.com/download.htm

I am guessing you are

a> using an older version
b> something is corrupted and needs repair.

Before you re-install, you'll want to go to start-settings-control panel, click the add/remove programs icon and get rid of your current winzip and then reboot -- that should allow for a cleaner re-install.

6. Thank you much
I followed your instructions and saw that I had no unzip file. I loaded one and it's working now. Thanks again.
