I'm thinking of dying my hair gray

Like totally, old blue-haired lady gray.

The thing is, I'm 38. I have VERY THICK HAIR ON MY HEAD (and none to speak of on my ASS, thank you), so while it's got a good bit in it now it's not nearly enough to make me look gray...I still look like I have dark brown hair. I'm just sick to death of doing my roots. So much so that I haven't in about 6 months and it's looking...well, fairly hideous at this point. :D

I'm wondering how weird it would look to have totally gray hair with dark roots. At least the new gray would blend in, yeah? ;)

Plus, if I did that I could look hot like this:

12. Just let nature do its thing.. Coloring your hair is a PITA unless

you have lots of money and time to visit the salon..a lot..

The first time you color , it's great, but not long afterwards you end up with pretty damaged hair..

Just let Mother Nature keep frosting it for you, and before long you'll have that glistening silver hair:) (or maybe not:shrug:..)

I think the silver just accentuates her features.
I have a white streak in the front. It looks a bit like Bonnie Raitt's streak that she sported quite nicely for many years(her coloring has started to fade). If I had her shade of red I'd be too happy to never dye it again.

22. Don't do it unless you're prepared for a lot of work!

It will be just as hard to keep up as dying your roots brown. Unless you're as grey as I am (over 70%), you're going to be doing touch-ups just as often as you would if you were doing your grey roots.

Plus, you have to worry about using blue shampoos & rinses to keep the grey from turning yellow (it does, trust me!). Having grey hair like Emmylou's takes a lot of daily maintenance.
