Defending national champs-baseball. Number five, basketball. Pretty impressive to this outsider. After the Rose Bowl, though, allI can say is

4. Yeah, I can't figure that Tennessee game out.

Duke, I can see. Tennessee, though? You got me. SINCE then, though, two wins over top-5 programs Memphis and Villanova, and a 7-game winning streak. We jumped from #15 in the polls back to #5. And in the Big 12 right now, we're as dominant as it gets. We got plenty of time to tune things up for the Big Dance in March.

6. They're a scary team.

The reason they lost to Tennessee is because they just got BLASTED by Duke. Would you have any confidence after that. Plus, Brad Buckman means more to that team than anyone else on the squad. Not stats-wise, but just general hustle and cohesiveness. He's a backbone.

Recently, they've also figured some important shit out...like that Aldridge should touch the ball at least once every time down the floor. That guy is a beast.

The wins over Nova and Memphis were impressive.

You know your college basketball. Buckman IS the sparkplug for the team, and he's been slowed by injuries and a death in his family. Aldridge is a monster, man, and he's getting his power game on track. Barnes asked him at halftime of the Villanova game if he was just going to shoot turnaround jumpers all day or was he going to get in the paint and help the team. He had a tremendous 2nd half. If he can bring that game every day, we're looking good for the rest of the way.
