Happy Birthday John Boorman! He's 73 today! |
|
A vastly UNDER-rated director who has given us some classics: Hope & Glory, Deliverance, Excalibur.
BTW, if you're into Arthurian legend, and haven't seen Excalibur--shame on you! I actually watched the movie long before I read any of the legends, etc. Excalibur takes the most interesting part of each of the legends and tales, and puts them into a coherent story.

With his son as the kid.
You know what was wierd about Excalbur thought? His daughter played Igraine, and he had to film her doing a really down and dirty sex scene with Uther Pendragon.

9. That is strange, but most actors, et al say filming sex/love scenes |
|
are so uncomfortable that they don't seem like sex at all!

Wonder what ever happened to some of the actors--Helen Mirren became big, but lots of the others never made it.

11. Nicol Williamson became semi-big |
|
He was in Spawn. I think though he stayed mostly on the stage. He really made the movie for me. What a talent!
Also, Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne became pretty big, I'd say...

12. I think a lot of them do theater in England. Terry Nigel and Cheri Lunghi |

had a short series called Covington Cross in the 80's. Nicole Williams is probably in theater too. Liam Neeson was in it. I think I've seen Paul Geoffrey - Perceval- do somethings. Gabriel Byrne made it big.
On Edit:
Patrick Stewart Play Leondegrance.
