Did you get my email?

What's with this question? On the face of it, I'm rarely able to answer.

Since I haven't checked my email in 2 hours, I really don't know if I got it. I think they are asking "Did you read my email?", but if I answer no, they think for some reason I didn't "get" their email and they start worrying about the server or something else...

And of course I can't answer yes, since as I said, I haven't checked my email in hours (remember when mail took days?). Or maybe I just don't remember if I read it...

So, in response to the "Did you get my email?" question, I have learned to reply with another question:

"What's up?"

This gets them to explain the contents of the email and the issue that needs to be discussed.
