Music similar to "The Postal Service"?
I stumbled upon this side project of Ben Gibbard fairly recently and really dig the whole electronic pop sound. Any other modern bands doing similar work that I should check out (aside from his collaborator on this album). Also, I'd like to hear your opinions on their work as well!!

1. There is a site somewhere that is like a "comparison" for bands.

You enter a band name, and the site gives you comparable bands. For the life of me I can't locate it. Perhaps someone else can. It's pretty accurate overall. It made the rounds here at DU several years ago.

2. Was it AllMusic.com?
They give "similar artists" for every entry but I find some of them to be kind of tenuous at best.

Thanks for the input though!

3. No, this was a stand-alone site.

Try Grand Champeen. You might like them.

Edit - changed suggestion.

I haven't heard of either of them so I'll definitely look into it. Thanks man...

8. You're welcome.
GC is a little more straight-forward. Earlimart is more like Postal Service. I've seen both live (GC is local) and they're both good live acts.
