Apparently, the antibiotics Ginger got after his big rumble with the neighbor cat last month didn't "take," and he developed an infection and a high-fever as a result. I'll give him love from Aunt SeattleGirl, OK? :hug: :loveya:

About a month ago, Ginger rumbled with the neighbor cat and got some pretty big cat bites in his chest. We took him to the emergency clinic in the middle of the night and kept him on antibiotics for a week, like the doctor instructed, but apparently the dosage wasn't high enough, so here we are again: high fever, not eating, etc. So we went back to the doctor yesterday for another injection and round of antibiotics. He'll be OK, but he's the baby, ya know? :hug:

enigmatic kitty is our baby, too; she's getting up there in years and we watch her like a hawk to make sure she's eating regularly and doing all the regular kitty stuff. I'm glad Ginger is better:)

My dog was bite by a pitbull when she was 6 month old puppy, she got very sick.

She was on these big antibiotic pills for 3 weeks, I know what it is like to take care of a sick furrbaby.

We're told that a cat bite is much worse than a catch scratch, and it seems that Ginger got bitten a lot more than scratched in his recent rumble. But until he's well, I spend a lot of time lying under the bed with him. (Under the bed is his sleeping place when he doesn't feel well.)
