Can anyone tell me what time of day public companies are supposed to
release earnings reports?

I threw my cash into the market 3 months ago, and so far I'm up 30% through various buys and sells, and I have a bit of cash riding on an earnings report.

I'm asking, mainly, should I start refreshing the news page in the morning or afternoon, or is there no fixed time when earnings reports have to come out. I know this post sounds really naive, trust me, I'm not that naive, I didn't make 30% in 3 mos with blind luck. I am, however, new to this thing, and need to know if there's a timeframe for 10K/10Q reports.

1. I don't think there's a specific time they have to come out - I think any
time during the requisite day they can come out, perhaps evebn after the market closes, but I'm not sure.

I used to work in an investment bank, but I don't remember when the earnings reports came out specifically.

3. Excellent resource! And thank you!
It's after market, and after hours, on a Friday. I can't help but think that's bad news. I'll be sure to read it well, and if needed, but a sell order in over the weekend. Damn.

Oh well, nobody made a profit by selling at a profit :-)

Don't let my former sig

fool you

I've been playing with ATYT (got out early, now might be a good time to get in, but don't come looking for me if it doesn't work out), NVDA (NICE gain today) and my ace in the hole. I'm waiting till tomorrow for my ace to be all or nothing
