Do you wear a watch? If so, what kind?
I wear one everyday. I have an atomic time-keeping and solar-powered Casio. Only drawbacks are no timer and the display goes out if there's little light. Not one to trust in the dark.

Inexpensive but reliable and classy enough looking. I've had Casios for 20+ years, always the version that has gizmos I need like a stopwatch and calculator, since my job is in stats.

2. Hate wearing watches. Use my cell phone to tell time.
For years and years before I had a cell phone, I would buy a watch, take the wrist strap off and stick the timepiece in my pocket.

3. I have a lovely analog watch made by Seiko.......
It runs on a battery, and every now and then that needs replacing.....

Plus the leather strap wears out periodically......

BUT the watch has never needed even cleaning! It keeps perfect time....

Plus it tells the date.....

I've had it since probably 1979, and I LOVE it!

5. I wear a metal Fossil watch
I refuse to spend a lot of money on a watch because I'm always bumping into things that get the face all marked up. I like the style of mine because you can wear it with casual or dressy clothes. I also wear it on my right wrist, I refuse to conform!

14. I have a lot of watches, but the one I wear is a fake Nike watch
that sheriff's deputies confiscated from a counterfeiting operation. The watch is probably worth about two bucks, but it looks cool and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I took it in to have a new battery put in it and wasn't even sure if it was worth the trouble. It's a great little watch, though.

Now that is a trip! I looked down at my watch to describe it and discovered it has a NAME. Pretty fancy for a $9.99 job from that store that it is best not named here sometimes!

I've worn cheap watches from discount stores for many years now. I prefer a sporty watch, usually black or very dark brown. Only thing I want is water resistance so I don't have to fool with taking it off before I shower. I prefer old fashioned numbered face rather than digital.

And with that, I'll end my long-winded answer to your very short-winded question!

24. LUMINOX! LUMINOX! LUMINOX! LUMINOX! LUMINOX!
Simply an awesome watch. Each watch contains tiny self-powered micro-gas lights installed into the hands, hour markers, and sometimes even in the bezel. These lights glow all the time, whether day or night, so you don't have to push a button to see what time it is.

My dive watch model is waterproof to 200 meters and while I have used it diving, it is great for timing all kinds of things from cooking to running to time left on a parking meter. And no need to puch a bunch of buttons.

The bezel on the second watch is for frequent travelers. Instead of resetting the watch, you simply rotate the bezel to correspond to the current timezone. Very simple and clever.

Mine loses about three seconds a month so it's plenty accurate. They aren't cheap but you can find some great discounts on the web.

44. Yep. Three Seiko's
My everyday watch is one of the titanium kinetoelectrics. It's electric, but the battery charges everytime you move, like an old self-winding watch.

I have a gold Seiko, rectangular face, that has no numbers or anything, just a date box and mark at the 12. It was a service award from work. Really nice watch.

And, i have an older Seiko my wife got me for our 10th anniversary. So, it's 16 years old now. Still works fine. It's also gold, but has a black face with nothing on it but some millionth of a carat diamond chip at the 12, and the name brand.

I NEVER leave the house without a watch on. Just so used to wearing it, that i feel uncomfortable not having it there.

The Professor

Citizen Eco-drive for casual dress occasions, Kenneth Cole and Skagen watches for dress, a Movado masterpiece w/mother of pearl face when I wanna impress, and my everyday watch is a Timex Ironman. Pretty cool, has analog hands and the face is digital. The digital can be turned off, leaving a black faced analog watch. Really cool, but kinda chunky.

Yeah, I guess watches are a vice.

I was actually a little miffed that the man's watch had a 50 lap memory but the ladies only only had a 30. Doesn't seem right to me to assume women will automatically run fewer laps.

61. Carry a wrist watch in my pocket
Back in the early 80's whne I was a poor traveller exploring the world, I started carrying my watch in my pocket. I go for cheap ones, since they tend to get damaged by my keys (in the same pocket). Or lost when pulling out my keys (happened a couple of times). So I pick up a cheap analog at the drug store. My current time piece is a Sharp.

74. I have never worn a watch in my life.
I am 42 years old and have never worn a watch. I can't get used to the feeling, its like a handcufff around my wrist. I have a good sense of time and all my time keeping needs are met by wall clocks, car radios, cell phones and computers. Why would you want to wear a watch?
