RIP Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America
Due to licensing agreements, and not being able to renew...it is now called "The Park at MOA" No Snoopy, no Charlie Brown, No Linus or Lucy...even though the creator of those wonderful characters was BORN HERE IN THE AREA!

:grr:

3. What? They'll have to revamp almost all of the rides!
What's going to happen to the giant Snoopy and giant Snoopy dish?

My kids LOVE Camp Snoopy.

4. The snoopy dish will be gone
The giant Snoopy can be taken off the "bouncy house" and a new character will likely be put there. They have to paint the Kite Eating Tree.

Apparently the folks at Cedar Point (who apparently have partial ownership to the licensing rights) did not like that the Mall of America, and Camp Snoopy were advertising in Ohio. We also get advertising here for Cedar Point, but apparently turn about is not fair play. So they opted not to even offer to renew the licensing agreement.

17. Winters are not as bad as advertised
We usually only get 1 week where the temperatures do not crack zero, usually in early January. But this year, so far, we have been in the 30s and 40s for highs.

18. 40's for highs?
Geez, I complain about the winters here, beacuse we get lows in the 40's.

I think if I get back up that direction I'll do it in the summer. :D Summer was nice.

20. About cold temperatures, certainly
But when it's 107 out and I'm pulling 42 lbs of LeftyKid up a hill in the trailer behind my bike, my badass California girl powers show. Midwesterners break out the shorts and start sweating while I'm still wearing long pants. I'm well adapted to the climate here. We only have two seasons, broil and flood.

22. I really hate it when people fuck with traditions...
it only impacts the little kids, who are after all innocents in this tacky licensing squabble.

23. Exactly
We took the kids last weekend to Camp Snoopy, because we knew the change was coming this week.

I am really sad.
